Heather DiDomenico, LPC, CYT

Owner/Director

Heather focuses on the solution focused treatment of individuals, couples and families struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, divorce, behavioral difficulties, high conflict, parent child conflict, life cycle issues, athletic performance issues, and life cycle changes (birth, aging, death).
Her clinical experience spans across 25+ years and includes being a Therapeutic companion, In-home and outpatient family therapist, and Clinician working with severely disabled adults and their families. She is also an experienced Guest Speaker and provides community education on attuning to the whole-child, parenting, and marriage. She serves as guest lecturer at Montclair State University presenting on the whole-brained approach to engaging families in the educational setting and sits on the Editorial Review Board for the American Psychotherapy Association.
Heather is a private pay and out of network provider for most insurance plans.

Susan has over 25 years of experience in working with adults, children and families in a variety of settings. She’s worked at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, NJ as a mental health clinician working with children and families at University Behavioral Health Care and in the Early Intervention Program providing developmental intervention and family counseling. She served as a School Psychologist in Harmony Township, NJ and maintained a private practice in Cresskill, NJ as well as worked as a Mental Health Consultant in southeastern Massachusetts.

Colette SanFelice, LPC, LCADC

Colette specializes in clinical work that focuses on adolescent females and issues regarding self-esteem, self-mutilative disorders and eating disorders. She is also skilled in working in substance abuse, anxiety, family and marital counseling, and working with young children of alcoholics and/or those dealing with the divorce of parents. She has developed many programs over the years to help young girls through the ups and downs of life; including a nutritional wellness program at Daytop Treatment Center. NOW IN NETWORK WITH AETNA INSURANCE.

John Cerrato, LCADC, ICADC

John has over 30 years of experience treating adults, adolescents and their families struggling with drug and alcohol dependency as well as other family and couples issues. He is one of the three founders in opening up and developing the Daytop-Mendham residential program where he served as the Family Therapy Director. He also served in other critical leadership roles such as Clinical Director and Outpatient Director.
“I practice using a structural family therapy model which examines and addresses issues in family functioning that continue to support a problem. I help clients feel at ease while searching for solutions and positive behavior change in treatment. I am also currently working at High Focus Centers with Adult and Adolescent Co-occurring populations, and I am honored to have been named a Top Counselor in Mendham by the International Association of Health Care Professionals (IAHCP). My personal interests include family and physical fitness.’

Donna Grossman, LAMFT, RN, BSN

Licensed Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

Donna has devoted her career to strengthening families, starting with her work as a nurse specializing in maternal child health. As a family therapist, she focuses on the strength of each member to facilitate future emotional growth within the family unit. She enjoys working with couples to enhance their marriage and to find a new appreciation for themselves as well as their partners.

She believes that growth occurs when individuals are willing to be vulnerable with their challenges, and to accept others within their family with their own struggles. As one family member becomes stronger and healthier, the entire family benefits. Donna is adept at working with various populations, including families with special needs children for their medical concerns as well as their emotional needs. *Direct Clinical Supervision provided externally by Dr. Paul Rockwood, PhD, LMFT, LCSW. Supervisory billing is provided by Sara Femiano, LCSW, who is an in-network provider for Aetna and traditional Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. Donna offers sliding scale rates for those without insurance.

Sara Klejmont, LCSW, ACS

Sara has over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families struggling with anxiety, special education needs, depression, family conflict, and various life adjustments. As a lifelong learner, she has completed coursework to become an educational supervisor, as well as a supervisor to social workers. She is also an adjunct professor at William Paterson University in the Special Education/Counseling department, where she teaches classes under the Disabilities Studies minor. Currently, she works in a school for children with disabilities.

“I enjoy starting where the client is, and working to create individualized sessions tailored to their unique needs. My approach is solution focused, and cognitive behavioral. I also enjoy incorporating mindfulness into sessions, while I empower my clients to become the best versions of themselves.”

Sara is in network with Aetna and “Traditional” only Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. She accepts and will submit to out of network plans as well. 

Jessica Stankus, LAC, NCC

Licensed Associate Counselor, National Certified Counselor

Jessica supports adults, children & adolescents, couples, and families who are struggling with a wide variety of issues. Her approach is collaborative and compassionate with a focus on helping the client reconnect with their strengths and move forward with confidence tailoring each session to meet each client’s unique needs. She believes that therapy should be a partnership, one where the client feels safe, empowered, and understood.

She is a National Certified Counselor with 10+ years of clinical experience that includes supporting individuals who have experienced substance abuse, domestic and sexual violence, anxiety, depression, relationship and familial conflict, life transitions, and grief & loss. She utilizes comprehensive and specific interventions based on the needs of the client including, but not limited to, Prolonged Exposure (PE), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Her counseling style is warm, grounded, and gently direct, helping the client explore difficult emotions while building practical tools for everyday life. 

Clinical and Supervisory billing is provided by Sara Femiano, LCSW, who is an in-network provider for Aetna and Traditional Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.

Marisa Brinkman , BA Psychology

Social Media Intern

Marisa helps to elevate the organization’s social media presence while staying aligned with its mission to support and uplift others. As our content creator, Marisa combines her creativity, compassion, and background in psychology to write and create engaging, thoughtful social media messaging on Instagram (@bridgescounselingnj) and Facebook (Bridges Counseling Center for Child & Family Wellness). Additionally, she works outside of Bridges as a developmental paraprofessional, engaging autistic children in play-based therapies that foster cognitive, emotional, and social growth. Her academic background includes leadership roles focused on member experience and community-building within a student organization, as well as service on a Standards Board, where she upheld ethical standards, policies, and member conduct. Marisa has extensive child care and volunteer experience, and completed an undergraduate clinical internship at Bridges Counseling where where she solidified her plans to pursue a career in family counseling.  

Kristen Brinkman

Office & Business Manager

As the first contact, Kristen works with clients to determine their therapeutic needs, provides cost estimates and insurance determinations, and then matches them with an appropriate therapist. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and provides full administrative support, working directly with insurance companies and problem-solving when necessary to create an easy, hassle-free experience for clients. Her background includes marketing, sales, customer service, education, and charitable fundraising.
“Sometimes it takes a lot of courage to call a therapist, and my goal is to make the process as easy as possible with a friendly, down-to-earth approach. I truly enjoy talking with clients to understand their concerns and feel good about being able to assist in getting them the help they need while taking away some of their workload administratively. I aim to provide efficient, professional customer service and am always available to answer questions or act on a client’s behalf.”
